The
Development
The proposed development will include:
1 large distribution unit
-
10 units for Small/Medium Enterprise
(SME) - as before
684 car parking spaces in total,
including 5% disabled parking and
associated landscaping
Ecological corridor along Chitlings Brook
with wetlands to the south of the site
The
distribution warehouse will
be sited
centrally within the site
on a south east/north
west axis. It will include
office space as an
extension to the main building.
The main unit will measure
approximately
340m long
x 138.3m wide x
17m height
overall (15m clear height
internally.)
There will be service yards
to the west and
east of the building.
The SME units are situated
along the north
eastern side
of the site
in 3 terraces.
They are designed as flexible
units in a range
of sizes, with integral offices
and segregated
parking/servicing areas.
Building heights
will range from 11.5m to
14m overall.
Accreditation
The Building Research Council,
a
world-recognised body promoting
environmental design, has given
Sideway an EXCELLENT rating.
This
is the highest accolade and
one that
is rarely achieved.
